Part 1 - Whole School Assembly
We will give the children a grounding in how the Victorians treated children (and each other) as well as introduce some significant Victorian characters.
It will be fun and entertaining and there will be a chance for a teacher to be a dunce and sit in the dunce's chair.

Workshop 1 - Crime and punishment (morning)
Introduced in a fun and light-hearted way, this workshop introduces the many injustices and harsh punishments issued in Victorian society. There will be an interactive court-room scene and discussion around punishments for children
This will be followed with a workshop where they can play shove ha'penny and design a thaumotrope to take with them.

Workshop 3 - Victorian schooling (afternoon)
In-role as a Victorian teacher, the workshop guide will deliver a lesson in the style of a Victorian schoolmaster. This will include copying a passage of writing as quickly as possible (with authentic Victorian quills) and discussion of The Three Rs.
